MASSIMILIANO GROTTO

Massimiliano Grotto, described as “a pianist with an Apollonian and distinct touch, from which one perceives clarity, devotion for details, and for the beauty of sound” (Luca Ciammarughi, Radio Classica), began studying the piano in 2006 at the age of eight. He earned his Master’s Degree with honors from the “Agostino Steffani” Conservatory in Castelfranco Veneto under the guidance of Maestro Massimiliano Ferrati. He later moved to Germany to study with Arnulf von Arnim at the Musikhochschule in Münster.

 

During his studies, he attended several masterclasses held by distinguished pianists such as Jerome Rose, Elisso Virsaladze, Riccardo Risaliti, Federico Colli, Jeffrey Swann.

He has won numerous prizes in international competitions, including the “Annarosa Taddei International Competition,” the “Premio Salieri International Competition,” where he also received a special prize for the best performance of a classical sonata. He is the winner of the first prize at the “Crescendo International Music Competition” (2018) and the second prize at the “Euregio Piano Award” in Geilenkirchen (2021).

 

He has performed in Italy, Brazil, Russia, the United States, and Spain in prestigious venues and theaters, including Teatro Alighieri in Ravenna, Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Leòn’s Auditorium, Copacabana Palace Theatre in Rio de Janeiro, the Residence of Archduke Luis Salvado “Son Marroig” in Palma de Mallorca, Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, House of Culture Ges-2 in Moscow, Pakgauz Concert Hall in Nizhny Novgorod, and Carnegie Hall in New York.
